Hi Geoprink,
Your tray is modern. The mark you have asked about is the post 1974 Tudor Rose for Sheffield which replaced the Crown.
Makers/Sponsor mark = C .J. V over Ld for C J Vander Ltd.
Tudor Rose = Sheffield
Lion Passant = Sterling
Date letter P = 1989
For further details regarding the maker/sponsors mark see:

Cheers,
Steve

Dear the wonderful few who colligate, postulate and regulate this great forum,
I would like to ask that this post be moved to the Sheffield section.
Cheers,
Steve

Hi Steve,
Thanks but it has been posted in the right section, British hallmarks and single image only.
Cheers,
Peter
