Hello. Could anyone identify this Maker's Mark for me please, as well as the Date, I am having a bit of difficulty with it.
It is a cup/mug with a handle.
I did not take a pic of the item(I should have), only the marks.
As always I appreciate any assistance. Thanks.

This is the mark of James Robinson Inc, a company which has UK manufacturing facilities, but retails through a store on Park Avenue, New York. They are still in business and their web site can be found here. The hallmark shows that your mug was assayed in London in the assay year 1971-72.
