American or Canadian mystery mark

Post by debrad »

I believe this sterling salt shaker is American or Canadian, I've looked through all the marks but still can't identify. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi Debrad,

Welcome to the Forum.

That's one of the many marks used by Gebelein Silversmiths.

Some others can be found here: http://www.925-1000.com/americansilver_G2.html

Any idea when this was in use? Just wondering why it isn't shown in the listing for Gebelein?
