Neoclassical Spanish Pedestal Bowl

Hello all,

A silver neophyte here. I bought the bowl shown in the attached pictures recently at an estate sale. It was among several hundred pieces of silver plated items, but the quality seemed too good and I have had enough Spanish to know that "plata" means silver. After reviewing the website, I believe that it was made in Spain in 1934 or later and is at least .915 pure silver based upon the presence of the pentagram mark. The dimensions are appx. 5.5 inches tall, 7.25 inches in diameter, and 4.5 inches at the base. The metalwork around the faces is filigree, I believe. I am interested in any information that can be provided, particularly with respect to the maker and its date and if there is any reason I should not think it is silver or Spanish. Thanks for any and all assistance you can provide.

Kindest regards,

Emersonian

You are right. Spain 1934 or later, 915/1000 silver. As to the maker let's wait for our Spain specialists.
