'Rd 1904' mark on David Andersen thimble

I wonder whether anyone can tell me what the letters '
Rd. 1904' found in the top of this silver enamel David Andersen thimble mean please. In addition to the DA mark is a silver fineness mark and '
Rd. 1904'. The Rd number is clearly too low for a British Registration and the only Canadian item with Rd 1904 is a cooker! What could the Rd mean?
The thimble and Mark may be seen at:

Thank you,

It would be much simpler if you embed your images as you have done in the past.
