'Rd 1904' mark on David Andersen thimble

I wonder whether anyone can tell me what the letters 'Rd. 1904' found in the top of this silver enamel David Andersen thimble mean please. In addition to the DA mark is a silver fineness mark and 'Rd. 1904'. The Rd number is clearly too low for a British Registration and the only Canadian item with Rd 1904 is a cooker! What could the Rd mean?

The thimble and Mark may be seen at:

Thank you,

It would be much simpler if you embed your images as you have done in the past.

Sorry! I'll try again!

I can't seem to be able to embed the image using 'Img'!
