Hello,
I am unable to find the country/dating of this seal wax case in solid silver... there is no seal engraved. It is heavy (60 grs) and quite tall ( 10 cms).
Any help would be appreciated.
Many thanks.

Hi,
Indeed for Amsterdam, 18th century, the year letter P could be for 1774. Could we please see a clear enhanced image of the maker's mark?
For a little more information see:

Thanks, great image. Amsterdam 1774, 2nd standard silver (833/000). I believe it to be a silver needle case or holder. At the moment not able to check my books about the Amsterdam silversmiths. Next week I will be back.
Oel.

Hi,
The maker's mark appears to be; A.S in a crown or beretta for: Adam Schaake registered in Amsterdam 1792-1811.
The town mark and year letter P should be 1798, although I believe 1774 to be a better match.
For reference see;

I will double check next week!
