It's just a thought.
It may be the unknown maker's mark of Rodolfo Philippi, Venice, first part of the nineteenth.
I repeat just an exercise in imagination.

Hi,
I think Amena is too modest; he has identified the maker. There is a rose and letter F. Cannot be the coincidence.

Thank you very much for your suggestion. I had thought they were letters around the perimeter of the mark, but seeing your illustration, I think you have nailed it.
Is that the date, 1811? Of when he was noted as working?

A date with dots means that the silversmith was operating around that date, but there are not certain dates of beginning and end
