A good friend of mine asks information about two apostle spoons only marked N(?) and not to be bias without my opinion, I ask you .
Each of these two spoons has the follow measures:
Length: 8.25" (21 cm.)
Width: 2" ( 5 cm.)
Weight: 3.2 oz ( 90 g.)

We welcome all comments, thanks.

Oel.

Apostle spoons, cast, then reworked. Not ergonomically, just for display. Names use ä, the German names assigned to the Apostles. We can conclude German speaking make. N would go for Nürnberg, but no makers mark. I would go for rather new, tend towards Hanau. (But I assume this is also your assessment...)

My concern, that a modern spelling is Thaddäus with two "d", but on the spoon: Thadäus (with one "d"). On the 17th century image: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judas_Tha ... 13_025.jpg

also "Thadäus".

Thank you.
