Hello All. This spoon has only 1 mark in an oval, besides the scratched in marks, and I can't find it in my research. It looks like CEB. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Hello moonshine,
I presume the spoon was made in Norway in the 18th century.
Kind regards,
Ringo

I have checked all my Norwegian source books without any luck. I have a rather good books but not a trace of any CEB or similar in neither 17th nor 18th century. I as well checked my Danish and Swedish/Finnish sources but no luck there either.
Then I happened to see this book in my book shell and what do we see there? An almost similar spoon on the front cover. In the book is stated that this pattern is a rather typical on baroque spoons from around 1650 with roots in England, Denmark and southern Sweden. I took a new look but no CEB,GEB,CFB, GFB...could be found. Sorry R ingo, couldn't do better :-(((
