Would anyone be able to offer me any information on /decipher the markings for me please on this Cigarette case?

Hi
Marks are as follows:
DOW : Birmingham registered maker mark belonging to David Gow.
Anchor : Assay mark of Birmingham
y : Birmingham date letter for 1923
lion passant : British mark for sterling silver.

Hi,
The mark looks like David Dow (Glasgow), assayed in Birmingham and date letter stands for 1923.
