I acquired this Cloisonne Enamel Silver box recently, it was described as Norwegian c1960's. There is no S after the purity 925 mark just the maker's mark EB. I purchased it because I really liked it however I am woefully ignorant about Silver items so I am hoping someone here could please help me. Is it Norwegian? Thank you very much.

Hi,

Welcome to the Forum.

You will have a far greater chance of getting a response if you embed your images. Very few people will click on such links.

Thank you very much for your help.

Would I be correct to think that as my box is not marked with the word sterling it was not made for retailing in a different country?

It`s irrelevant; .925 is sterling fineness. Sometimes marked ``925`` and sometimes ``sterling`` added. Even higher fineness ``.935`` was marked ``sterling``.
