Need Help With Identification- Salt Spoon A1 well worn

I hope someone can make out what is happening here with this spoon. It may be too worn to tell anymore. Heres to hoping.

The letters are E P G S for electroplated German silver. "German silver" was an alternative name, not much used after 1900, for nickel silver. As it is a generic mark any further identification will not be possible.

Hello I managed to get a crisper image of the marks but I believe they are unhappily not maker's marks. They appear to me as written in the old English Gothic style of lettering and say EPNS but now seeing Phil's picture it does appear to be EPGS. The Gothic script is often used on 19th and early 20th century spoons and like items and it is not unusual for maker's marks to be omitted. We are all disappointed when that is the case as research then usually comes to a halt. A1 marks are usually the maker's thoughts on how good they think their electroplating is!!
