Hi,
Welcome to the forum.
I`d say it`s Victorian 1872 Elkington & Co (Frederick Elkington) of Birmingham sugar urn, unless it was meant to be some kind of trophy cup and cover with ostrich finial.

This is indeed real as mentioned in above entries.
