I'd be most grateful if anyone could help with this one. It's a small glass bowl, 5cm in diameter, with the hallmark as shown. It's obviously London with an i date letter but I'm not sure which year it is. There is fading around the hallmark and the leopard head seems to have an extra shield around it?

ANy information would be appreciated. Thank you.

This "i" is 1904; the letter style combined with the punch shape confirms this. And the maker is Robert Pringle & Sons. The extra shield in the leopard's head is most likely a consequence of the way that the rim of silver has been attached to the glass, forcing the lower parts of the hallmark up which, with polishing and use, have reached the same level as the rest of the silver. You will see that there are similar effects around the lion's rear end and the date letter.
