Hello, yes, this is Lemor. The fineness of 70 rather than 12 or 13 Lot was introduced when the metric system was being introduced in Germany since the 1850ies. So I would date this around 1860, give or take. The Striegau city mark rather than the Breslau city mark was used by Lemor, for reasons unknown today, for a while around ca. 1860. Lemor never had production facilities in Striegau. Regards, Bahner

Thank you Bahner for that conclusive information on Lemor's production werks. A rather plain piece, but hopefully can add to the bank of knowledge on this firm. It is a found item (passive aquisition not marketed as antiquity) and may have made its' way this far west along with the immigration trail...we'll never know for sure. (I'm always amazed when these simple items of daily useage have survived all the possible events that could have taken them out of circulation.) Best Regards.
