If you look at the spoon where the handle meets the bowl (right next to the PAT'D word), you should see a cursive "D" which would signify the manufacturer Durgin and the pattern appears to be the "Empire" pattern which was patented in 1895 +++ Mermod & Jaccard were the retailers who sold the spoon, and often this mark is found on the handle which is a good way to advertise a company, many spoons and forks from around the turn of the century bear similar retail marks from different retail shops +++ Mermod & Jaccard is advertised as "The Grandest Jewelry Establishment In The World" and they were in St. Louis Missouri +++
