Can anyone help identifying this hallmark? It appears to be the letter R next to a lion.
It comes from this fork with this pattern:
If anyone knows anything about the fork pattern, please let me know as well.
Any help is appreciated.

The maple leaf is a very common element in Canadian related dining services. It can be found used by Canadian Pacific, Canadian National, Canada Railway News Service and various hotels falling under transport company control, as a few larger known settings. Since sterling would not be used for common public services, your emblem might be that of a private club or organization...the thematic elements in the shield may yield some clues. I don't see anything specifically military or aviation, but is that a set of wings (left-center)?

It`s historical 1905 Canadian coat of arms. Possibly from a souvenir set.

Thanks for the info everyone, it was very useful.
Now that I see all the maple leaves, I don't know why I didn't check the Canadian Silver Marks section first.
