Perhaps a new shot of the mark using a magnifier glass (10x loupe or better if available). Might also include a description of what you see: intials, objects, words (simple terms are most useable for searches). Sometimes, it may take some digging time for an answer to surface.

Search ref.-possible open palm hand mark (right or left)....Ulster Ireland, Malta, Portugal, France or other using combination rectangle or square mark with letters LC.
