Hi,
I think it should be Brugge / Bruges.
Unfortunately, at this moment I can not have the books
But then I may have put this in the right direction.
There are others who have also these books.
Good luck

.
If I had the books available for inspection, I would have placed a picture of it.
(I'm on my way)
Now you show a distorted picture of a Town mark Brugge, which only causes doubt.

No doubt and indeed Brugge/Bruges: town mark lion head crowned, Gothic
b for Brugge, year letter crowned 89 for 1789.
Unfortunately the makers mark
MB conjoined is unknown. Mentioned in the book
Belgische Zilvermerken, R. Stuyck #1464, seen on coffee pot with year letter for 1782.

Sorry Dendriet..it was the only reference point found in search function. Thankfully Peter was able to confirm the authenticity by his postings. Should be helpful for future questions to have links, even to poor samples (which can then be dissected further if needed).

No, it was also a frustrated reaction from me because I did not get all the pictures on my screen, and Peter's copy from the book, which was not included.
In retrospect, it was an unnecessary reaction.
I saw it when I returned home
Sorry.

Correction:
The Master MB, identified as Michiel Bulcke, several works are known, including a brandy spoon and a medicine boat from 1783, table candlesticks from 1784 and a chocolate jug from 1785 (source; Meesterwerken van de Brugse Edelsmeedkunst, 1993, p. 335-336, 340, 342 nr. 427, 429, 436, 439)). For further biographical information see the work of Walter van Dievoet Brugse edelsmeden van het ancien régime (Brussels, 2014).
