Marked WJ

Hi, I have a ladies walking cane which looks around 120 or so years old.
Looking the only available visible mark WJ (which is very small, and the photo is viewed via a loup) I can see that it doesn't appear to be a UK mark. The handle appears silver to me, in terms of feel, looks and the flex it has. However I am at a loss to confirm who made it and when. Can someone kindly point me in the right direction?
