Native American Silver and Turquoise Cuff

Hi

I have a NA cuff which looks to be very old. It is very detailed with scroll and shadowbox work but it has no markings other than ‘1000’ stamped on the corner. I have been told that solid silver is too soft for jewellery making but I am pretty sure this is not a mahers mark as I have looked through books and online - makers tend to use their initials or a pictorial stamp. Does anyone have any ideas? I’m not able to upload a photo.

Thanks

Michelle
