A long shot I know, but just wondering if someone here might be able to help please with a piece of research on which I've become stuck.
I am trying to identify an Engraver active in circa 1850 and located at 73 Buttesland Street, Hoxton. This address is not listed in any of the contemporaneous directories I have consulted. All else I know is that the craftsman at this address had a brother who also worked as a watchmaking/jewelling engraver and that he/they may have been associated with Charles Maunder (or Mander), a gilder located at 14 Queen Street, Clerkenwell.
Any information or signposting ideas would be most gratefully received.

Typical! - as soon as I had posted this I thought of another way of looking for this man and I believe I've found him: William A Hudson, 'silver chaser.'
It looks as though he was born in 1806. If anyone knows anything about him or his work, please do let me know.
Many thanks.

Thanks Silverly for your confirmation - I'd found the Census information shortly after my post yesterday. My previous no-luck stemmed from my source reference having him at 73 Buttesland Street, whereas Directories and Census at the time treated the higher house numbers in Buttesland as being in Great Chart.
