I recently acquired this case. Only one I've seen like this. The size and shape of a cigarette pack. The top and top front open on spring hinges when pressure is applied to the front.

Is it the Austrian hallmark for small articles from the years 1867 until 1918?

Does the letter "B" correspond to: B - Linz (Lienz) (Present Day Country: Austria) :: Is there supposed to be a Maker's Mark somewhere?

This is the best I could come up with, If I am in error I defer to the experts who have the appropriate literature ::::

Thanks I think you are correct about the Austrian mark but I think the B with a dot could be the makers mark. The same mark are on all the parts. I don't see any additional ones.

Hello!
Both of you wrong with the Austrian hallmark. It's Hungary, between 1937-1966, for small articles, 800 fineness. (Maybe you know, Austria and Hungary was different country from 1918) The hallmark changed in 1937. The new one was similar to the Austro-Hungarian hallmarks, but different, because there is no assay office mark between the lines.
The other mark with the B is the makers mark. Unfortunatly I do not know who it was.
Best regards!

Thanks for the information. Can you provide a photo source? None of the Hungarian marks I found are similar.
