Purple stone, about 3" long.

The mark seems to be a stylized "WL", but the orientation may be wrong. Thoughts on maker and/or stone material?

For those playing at home: This is the mark of Southwest US (New Mexico / Oklahoma) silversmith Wanda Shiflett. She was kind enough to confirm that this stone is Burro Creek Jasper (AZ), and that this piece was an early one, made as early as 1976 but no later than 1994.
