I am new to this forum, so I say hello to everyone.

Here I have a spoon who I'm puzzled. The spoon comes from Amsterdam I think and has several silver marks. Please help by determining these marks.
Thanks Euser.

Hi welcome to the forum.

Your image, from left to right; maker's mark (distorted), town mark Amsterdam and this particular shaped town mark used around 1734-1755, Holland provincial 1st standard mark being the lion rampant facing left in a crowned shield, this particular shaped mark used till around 1755, and a faded year letter.
For more information about the marks see;

Your welcome and I found the maker of this spoon. Maker's mark is a a key under ID above S for: Johan Diederik Sluyter, born 1694 in Weeren Westfalen registered in Amsterdam 1720-1761 (Died) and known maker of table/food utensils.

Knowing the hand of the silversmith seems to me more important than the year letter and you have found it, fantastic.

Furthermore, I also saw the article about the Middelburg spoon and I do realize that I also have a piece from Middelburg of which I do not know the maker but I do have a clear mark. So when I have time I will show it.

Thank you Peter.
