Hi All,

I searched the initials CPB and it brought me the this site, i read the previous thread and thought i would post this item. I found it in an old dump in Australia with the detector. Hope the image is sufficient and posted correctly. The item is approx. 2.5cm in length, Any info would be greatly appreciated thanks, and thanks Phil.

That is a Birmingham hallmark with the date letter "v" for 1895 (note that it is frequently mistaken for other letters). I think that the piece is a box or purse mount with the vertical hole possibly being a keyhole.
