Hello,

I has a flat silver box ( estimated as a cigarette box).. There is a mark which seems to be Arabic. Is that a silver control mark? where is box from?
Here are the pictures of the box and the mark. Please help me and let me know this stamp. Thank you.

It is Persia (Iran).
Letters are Arabic but the language is Farsi.
The mark with two numbers (bottom) is ``84`` for silver fineness (same as old Russian standard 84 zolotniki) i.e. 875.
Arabic digit inverted V for 8 is the same in Arabic alphabet , but numeral ``4`` is distinctively different in Persian.
A native Farsi speaker might read the maker`s name or town.An Arab would read the letters but would not understand.
