Modern Italian .925 Hallmark?

Heavy sterling ring with braided rope motif. From a group of QVC and HSN-type jewelry.
It's marked inside with three cartouches, each raised from the surface: "925", "ITALY" and then this maker's mark, I think. They descend from left to right. If the orientation stays the same from "925" and "ITALY" then the mark looks like a gondola or canoe? But if the orientation is turned on its side, it kind of resembles a Gothic script "C". Any ideas welcome, I'm at a loss.
