Hallmarks on silver bracelet

Post by Nicholson74 »

I wonder if anyone can help,
I have a silver bracelet that is stamped with an anchor for Birmingham and 925 for silver and a makers mark for either sc or sg, I have tried to work out who the maker is but so far have drew a blank, also is there a way to date this? It is quite heavy

Many thanks

Hi,

Welcome to the Forum.

It's Italian imported into the UK via the Birmingham assay office. The maker's mark is the '?C - puppy - SC' one, and the importer/sponsor is the 'SG' one.

You could try searching for the Italian maker's mark logo here: Italian Silverware and Jewellery Manufacturers
