Hi,

I don't recall seeing a coin-holder on the Russian forum before (but I'm sure I'll be told if that's incorrect), so I'd thought I'll share this one:

Hi dognose -

I have a drawer full of them....but rusty forks and bent spoons are easier to get!

You didn't ask who are the maker and assayer. The assayer is Jakov Lyapunov (ЯЛ) and the maker HK is Nikolay Kemper 1892-1908 in St Petersburg. Due to the small fineness figures, the coin-holder's dating is easy. It is made during the latter part of 1898.

Thank you both for your thoughts and the extra information.
