HI

I see this maker E.K.K. is listed on this forum as unidentified, is that still the case? i think the assayer is Vasily Petrov Moscow 1886.

Yes, it is Petrov in Moscow 1883-1893. The maker is unknown to name.

Hi!
Yes, this is indeed Vasily Petrov, but according to my sources, he worked in 1883-1886.
Qrt.S, can you show Petrov's marks in 1887-1893?

@Ubaranda
I would be a very happy happy man if I had the opportunity to register all Petrov's marks. Unfortunately that is not the case. My source is simply Green Ivanov, p. 207, 209, 210, 211, 212 and 602; Vasily Alexandrovich Petrov, Moscow 1883-1893. Sorry Ubaranda.

By the way. Sometimes it is discussed here why differing years regarding e.g. working periods are mentioned on these sites. This is a good example of it.
Ubaranda wrote 1883-1886. This period is mentioned in Postnikova #2117. The years I stated are mentioned as said above in Ivanov. Which one is correct I cannot say.

Qrt.S, my sources are not PL or Ivanov's books. I used the Moscow address calendars. In 1886 Petrov was on the staff of Moscow assay office, but in 1887 he was already absent there.

@Ubaranda,

OK, evidence enough. Well done Ubaranda! Now we can state that there is an error in Ivanov to correct. Petrov assayed in Moscow 1883-1886 as written in Postnikova.
What makes me wonder is that where from has Ivanov got his information (1887-1893)?

Unfortunately I have no possibility to neither access nor read the Russian address calendar. My Russian skills are too "ploha" :-)))
