Towle Mfg Co with Towle "T" and Bird/Bat?

I have a Tipped pattern teaspoon Towle Mfg Co. The reverse shows the Towle script "T" and then what appears to be a bird or bat at the bowl end of the handle. It then shows "TOWLE MFG CO" further up on the handle.
This could be from the Towle 1880 silverplate Tipped pattern, but I'm not sure. I can't find that bird/bat anywhere.
Regards,
Dave

While I could not find a Bird/Bat mark for Towle I did find on
https://www.sterlingflatwarefashions.co ... owle6.html it could be the 1880 "Tipped" flatware design....digging more into it.

All of which raises a question...Touwl or Toll? For name origins:

So if [T + Owl] is Touwl, then is T with Roaring Lion the equivalent of [T + Yowl], resulting in an even more improbable pronunciation?
