English halmmakrs

Post by sebastian4743 »

I do have a picture frame that has some marks on it. The lion does tell me it might be made of sterling silver (looks and fells like that) but the second mark makes me wonder as I have never seen it before and had no success in finding it in the British hallmarks section. What do you think?

Thank you! So the second mark from left is the makers mark or the mark for Sheffield Assay Office?

The second mark is the rose mark for the Sheffield assay office, it replaced the crown mark in 1975.
