Hello!
I have stumbled upon a pair of candleholders with unknown marks to me - might this be Channel Islands - Jean Le Page Guernsey?
Stamped IPF, Left side of a head, Capital L with a crown and four dots?
Kind regards,
John

Methinks you meant "ILP", not "IPF"...so mark sample is here:

One sample of Lisbon assay mark of older [Crowned "L" having no pellets, within oval cartouch] :
viewtopic.php?f=8&t=44153&p=127012&hili ... on#p127012
Note we have no Tremolierstich (zig zag) noted for this one. Can it be found? Have additional marks been noted on Lisbon?
Crowned "L", no cartouche begins almost a century earlier as French date mark. It may be used elsewhere? As a pseudo? The exact form of the crown must be compared to be certain. There's a reference book noted in Lisbon threads which may help.

For a quick reference see:

Indeed could be Lisbon early 19th century.
For other marks perhaps: works of special interest

I had a piece of Hanau silver with hallmarks very similar to Oporto Portugal, might want research "Hanau Silver Pseudohallmarks" as well as authentic marks from Portugal, just to make sure....
(Hanau was a city in Germany where hallmarks were struck however they wanted to make them, often the hallmarks were extremely similar to other countries' hallmarks)
The hallmarks are crisp and beautiful, so I was really thinking they were genuine for a European country, so that was my first impression, but that could be wrong and they could be just an example of very well-executed hallmarks from Hanau, but I'm still trying to figure it out, so will keep reading. :::

And the head facing left is for "old or antique articles" according to the hallmark wiki. ::: It makes sense for Portugal, there is a member named Funkel has the official book on Spanish and Portuguese silver hallmarks, it is not available in English because I searched for a translated copy to no avail. ::::
I have faith the maker is in that book, it is a very comprehensive book :
