sterling fish with mystery mark

Articlulated fish, 4" long. Marked MRT on fin; plus 925 and tiny touchmark on tail.
Any help with the touchmark? It looks like: 1 - ????? - crescent
I thought this might be Mexican. But probably not. Maybe Spanish? Egyptian? I am totally unsure.
