Hi all
cold you help me to understand if this mark is a french silverplate mark and who is the maker?
the mark is on a sugar bowl in french Louis XVI style, I have only mark picture.
I do not think that the 12 is for 12 loth of silver.
Any suggestion is appreciated

thank you for the hint,
yes I was aware of the fact that french system mark the grams of silver plating.

Maker mark is a bit different.

Is a lozenge in to a square
could be R star D?
the middle mark could be GR for grams?

any other option?

thank you
