Hello good people. I hope you are fine and well in these hard times. My father is an silver collector and he add to him collection these champagne glasses and I believe they are silver, but not really sure. He bought these set of glasses ''blind'', without knowing if they are really silver or not. He bang 2 of them each other and they have the ping of silver, like a very sharp bell sound and also they have just this hallmark, which is very hard to see it even with an magnifier. I do my best to make a ″clear″ photo but is very hard. Photo atached here
PS: any help is appreciate ! all the best

Hello Bahner, i hope you are well. Waw, that's amazing, is the same hallmark. Is look like it use to be an high end silversmith from France between 1900 and 1930. That's really nice of you to help me identify it. I wish you all the best, and a big thank you !!!
Best regards Sir !

Hi,
Bahner was right about French silverplate mark.In regard of
they have the ping of silver, like a very sharp bell sound
there is no such thing like ``sound of silver``.Even marks can be faked and sometimes it`s difficult to determine if an item is made of solid silver or silver plated base metal. There is acid test (requires deep filing which is bad for the item tested) or better - electronic testing.

Hello Sir, yes i see Banner was right. When I said ping I was referred to that kind of ping which we do on silver coins. I'm collector of silver coins and this is one of my test to identify if the coin is silver, after other test I made like magnet test. I didnt know this ping test is work just for coins, but thank you for this information. I will take in consideration. All the best and thank you for helping me guys. I wish you all the best, and stay safe !
