Unusual early mark - David Andersen

Hello silver buffs,

Can anyone shed light on the unusual version of the DA mark found on this beautiful serving fork and spoon set? I suspect it is from the early years, David Andersen's own mark, but I haven't found it shown elsewhere to confirm that.

Thank you for your input!

Don't know about any light..., but David Andersen was born 1843 and died 1901. The company was founded in 1876. The mark on your spoon was used 1888-1939. The fineness is expressed in promille as from 1892. That means that the object cannot be older than that. Since it carries the mark DA, I assume that David Andersen made it himself. As said he died in 1901 so the time span would be 1892-1901, but....?
BTW, haven't either seen this DA mark before...interesting!

Thanks, Qrt.S, for your helpful reply. Your reasoning on the dates makes good sense. I guess it's safe to assume for now the DA is David Andersen's own.

I'll check back in here in case someone else chips in.

Much appreciated!
