Yes the blades are solid coin silver, and the coin silver content is actually slightly more durable than sterling silver because con silver is 90% silver and sterling silver is 92.5% silver. ::: I actually prefer using 80% silver flatware for actual eating purposes because it is even more durable and the tines seem to stay sharper for longer. :::
