Snuff box with unidentified origin

Hi everybody!
I would like to know your opinion about this snuff box and its silver marks. I do not recognize them.
I do not have the object in hand and therefore I cannot offer you better images.

What about Portuguese marks with Roman numerals 1886 - 1938 ?

It could be anything. Kindly ask the box holder to clean the marks and send you new photos of cleaned marks.

Right, could be Porto; the style of the box(late 19th century) and maker`s mark in an oval are seen on Porto silver of the period.
Now that you know what to look for, you can clean and check the mark with higher magnification.
