Could anybody help me with this maker mark for 1833 Vienna sugar box? Letters look like SNN or SNR but can not find anywhere.
Thank you very much, meyrink

HI,
looks like there is a keyhole, meaning there is a lock.
If so, remove silver plate (it slides over the lock mechanism) and push the lock out of its position.
After 150 years locks are badly rusted, when removed use Ballistol or whatever rust cleanng solition. Keys are not difficult to find because the lock is quite simple. If there is no lock, forget it.
