Differences in marking on Gorham Stainless/Sterling Hollow Knives

Hello All,
I have some Gorham Camellia knives, mostly of the Modern Hollow Knife shape, that have 4 different markings on the blades:
-Stainless Blade Gorham Sterling Handle
-Stainless
-Stainless with a star underneath it
-Steel Blade Silver Plated
Please see the attached photos.
The first two are pretty self explanatory. Does the star underneath Stainless mean anything in particular?
For the one that reads Steel Blade Silver Plated, is it possible that the blade was plated? I am not sure how old these are and I think I recall reading that this used to be a thing a long time ago? The handle is stamped with "Gorham Sterling Handle" so I can only imagine that it is the blade that was plated and not the handle.
Is anyone able to shed any light or more information on these markings?
Many thanks
