Hello, dear friends.
I have two identical Margret Cups, but with different marks. I understand U9 and F9 are Anton Michelsen's date marks. Please help me to determine the age of these cups.
Thank you in advance.

I have somehow understood like you that the mentioned marks would be year or date marks on Danish silver. Unfortunately I have not managed to find any information verifying that. However, I happen to know that U9 could/would be 1971 (maybe!). Counting back from this year gives a result that F9 would likely be 1957. Anyway, is that the case, I don't know for sure and if they are e.g. year marks, they are only for Michelsen's production. There are no official year marking procedures in Denmark. This is not much of a help to you but unfortunately I cannot do any better!
