I bought this pair of candlesticks at the fleemarket in Budapest.
I think, it is italien.
Any ideas about the marks?

Hi,
The only mark I recognize is Regno Lombardo Veneto until 1872, struck on older (ancient) or repaired silver.
(The mark that looks like ox head facing forwards).
Regards

Hello!
Dear AG2012, thank you!
I agree, this is what I recognized too, that's my trace to Italy.
I hope, other marks could be familiar to someone.
Best regards!

Hi huszas 76
The recognizable mark is the horse's head," marchio di ricognizione ", struck on objects manufactured before 1821.
There is another very, very, very worn hallmark whose outline can make you think of one of the many marks in use in Venice in the eighteenth century consisting of St. Mark's lion with initials underneath. These marks have not been attributed.

Similarly, silversmiths' marks consisting of the initials ZF are found on Venetian silver of the 18th century. These are also not attributed.
The style of your candlesticks is similar to Venetian candlesticks that you can find on the WEB. Not evidence, but clues.

Sorry, 1812 not 1821. Misprint.

Dear Amena!
Thank you for your help!
I found the horse's head too, but I had no idea about the other signs so far. So, it is more, than I had before!
Best regards!
