Mystery Mark (German? English?)

All,
I came across this very unique creamer but I am having trouble determining its origin/age.
It is marked w/ a "castle" (might be A on the door but it is worn & difficult to tell) which makes me think Hamburg, Germany. However, the "BB" mark is NOT consistent with any German maker's I've been able to find (Ernst Martin Wilhelm Bielenberg). The BB is more consistent with the Barker Brothers mark (English)-- any ideas? The birds also look like partridges which make me think German.
It passes the magnet and ice cube test and also looks and feels like sterling silver but there are no other marks confirming sterling. For what it is worth an antique dealer assured me it is sterling.
Dimension:
5" height
3.5" wide at mouth
Weight:
14.3oz
Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!
