Hi Members
Worn marks is it possible To work out maker? I do not understand what letter M stands for,Not valuable box ,worn through on top a few small sections.
date N maybe London1868? Appreciate any thoughts.
The hallmark is a Birmingham mark with the date letter "u" for 1894. The maker's mark would be HM - Henry Matthews. The M may have had meaning for the maker but has no meaningful significance for us now.
Hi Phil
