Hello members

I am not sure if my post under ,Austo Hungarian advertisments has been noticed.

My question is re Baher's comment re 1921 exporters mark ,may not be the mark of maker ,I have always assumed that it was the makers mark.

Could someone tell me ,why it is not the makers mark ?and has anyone seen other makers marks with these (so called export marks?)

Regards Guido.

Hi Ag
I cannot seem to load the draft in this section.
The comment was made by Bahner on the post by Dognose Fri Nov 28 2014 (a long time ago) "Austrian Export Mark"

Hi Traintime

Thanks for adding the link, for some reason the quote by Bahner re "Austrian Export Mark " Frid Nov 28-2014. Mark of exporter may not be that of maker.
Is not there.not sure why ,when I looked it was on that page. Very strange.

Searching "Austrian Export mark" should bring it up.

Regards Guido.

It was a response to an inquiry labeled "Cigarette Case", so here is the link: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=39081&p=107578&hil ... 9e#p107578

The entry following Bahner's adjusted the information a bit. Just for surviving photo reference, a sample of the short lived earlier Austrian Export Mark (Mercury cap/Caduceus) is imaged here: viewtopic.php?f=38&t=35107&p=121793&hil ... rt#p121793

Thanks Traintime

For your replies and links.
Not sure if my original question has been commented on .
Mark of exporter not maker. In my opinion this comment ,was a bit misleading at that time ,as I feel it was always the makers mark, who may have also exported the item.
As I have never seen other makers marks with the so called export mark.

I would be interested if anyone has an object with export mark (in question ) and also a different makers mark on the same item.

Regards Guido
