Hello,
I have passed across this silver cup.
It has no marks out of the one in the picture and I can't identify them.
My guess was that they were Hanau pseudo marks but I can't find any example of something similar.
I'd be happy if someone here could help me identify them..

Hi, I believe it could be Augsburg, 1770? or.... but let us wait for Theoderich to drop in.
Peter.

Peter.
The hallmarks looks OK, but I can not read the makersmark. We need a better image of makersmark.

Here's a better picture.
It seems that the marker's marks is JR.
Nevertheless, this cup looks casted. Could it sill be an original ? Also the flowers pattern typical of XIXth century Hanau...

Yes, looks like JR. In the book from Seling this mark is not mentioned.
There are a few possibilities whit this initials in this area/time, but I am not sure.
Joseph Anton Reidler, Silberarbeiter
Johann Friedrich Ruoff, Goldarbeiter
Johann Georg von Rauner, Silberhändler
Johann Christian Reinhard, Silberarbeiter
