Hi,
Schlangenhautbecher (snake skin beaker) with Nuremberg N. Have seen too many N from Hanau to attribute this beaker.
Sellers and antique dealers are never naive; if you paid several thousand Euros it must be real late 16th century. Otherwise, I would not believe in miracles in thrift shops and flea markets.

Difficult to tell. The rule of thumb; every Nuremberg and Augsburg 17th century is Hanau (or other silversmiths but 200 years later) unless positively proven otherwise.
Have a nice Sunday.

In the book of the GNM it MZ1058 (Meister mit Einhorn) and is contributet zu Max Burmeister.
At a silver conference a few years ago, Prof. Richter gave a lecture and he was able to prove that this is Stephan Winckler's master's mark. In the book of GNM he is no971. He become Master in 1632.
