Your bowl has Maya-inspired design elements, telling me that this is a purely decorative object made for the tourist trade.The brand name “artistic silver” would indicate this also.
Therefore you can use the bowl for whatever you prefer: trinkets, bonbons, etc.

Plata Artistica is a registered silver Smith company. It is listed in the Little Book on page 238 without follow up details. There are no specific artists assigned with the group. It is a very nice detailed bowl. I wouldn't use it for every day use but display.
